The bullet trains travel almost 200 miles an hour. We reached Kyoto in 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Outside a Shinto Shrine.
Hazel in her cute giraffe outfit. I love the matching shoes. Hazel spent a lot of time in her stroller on the trip, but she loved it.
Behind us is the Golden Pavilion.
More people admiring Hazel.
This priest came up to admire Hazel.
We walked through a bamboo forest.
A rickshaw going through the bamboo forest.
We climbed a steep mountain to get to a monkey park and we were hot and tired after , but it had a great view of the city and was worth the climb..
Walking around near the outskirts of Kyoto.

Wow, what took you guys to Japan? Tony has been saying for the longest time that he would love to go there. That is great that Hazel traveled so well for you :) Looks like you guys had an amazing time there. How long were you there for, and how long of a plane ride is that?!
We found a great deal on tickets during Brendan's fall break, and his uncle lives in Tokyo. We were there for a week.
You guys are so great at updating your blog. The pictures are awesome. What a cool experience. Can't wait to hear more details from you!
So cool .. I wish I could've gone too. I love that you guys TRAVEL.
You guys are so brave to take an international flight with Hazel! Not sure I could pull that off. ;) She is so so darling -- of course she has adoring fans around the world. Will you guys be in California for Christmas? Would be great to see you guys.
